Marzotto
Fabric Traceability in Production

01.

Background

Marzotto Textile Group is one of the historic leaders of the Italian textile industry, with roots dating back to 1836. Specialized in the production of high-quality fabrics for fashion and interior design, the group combines manufacturing tradition with technological innovation, with a strong commitment to sustainability and the promotion of Made in Italy excellence.

02.

Goal

Digitize and enhance fabric traceability during the production process, particularly after loom output.

Reduce waste, errors, and management time related to production.

03.

Solution with SAIT’s support

SAIT has introduced an RFID system integrated directly on fabric rolls: RFID tags are applied to fabrics as soon as they come off the loom, automatically monitoring the processing status of each fabric roll along the entire production line.

This solution enables real-time data acquisition, optimization of internal logistics for storage and picking in the warehouse, and increased visibility of production stages.

04.

Results

Greater transparency in fabric processing, with real-time traceability.

Improved operational efficiency, through the reduction of errors, delays, and waste in the production process.

Support for sustainability by enabling accurate monitoring that helps minimize waste and resource consumption
